A 40-stall fast-charging hub at the terminal door

A medium-voltage connection, two transformer stations and 40 high-power stalls delivered as a piece of civic architecture.

A 40-stall fast-charging hub at the terminal door

The challenge

Delivering 10 MW of charging capacity on a live airport landside, with rigorous safety, security and aesthetic requirements.

Engineering design

Two 5 MVA transformer stations, ring-main MV distribution, 40 stalls under a lit canopy with integrated PV, full OCPP back-end and roaming.

Installation

Nineteen months including civils, executed in security-controlled phases with night works only.

It looks like part of the terminal, not like equipment parked next to it. That mattered enormously.
