Solar panels in Málaga, engineered rather than sold from a catalogue.
AIRVOLT designs, installs and maintains solar PV, Tesla Powerwall storage and EV charging across Málaga city, the Costa del Sol and the whole province. Local headquarters, in-house engineering team, one point of accountability.
Why here
Málaga has one of Europe's strongest solar resources.
The same module yields 35–50% more here than in central and northern Europe. That shortens payback and changes the optimal system size entirely.

Frequently asked questions about solar in Málaga
How much do solar panels produce in Málaga?
The province receives roughly 1,800–2,000 kWh per square metre per year across some 2,900 hours of sunshine. With a south-facing array at a sensible tilt, each installed kWp typically yields 1,500–1,750 kWh a year, against 1,100–1,250 kWh in northern Spain.
What size system does a Costa del Sol home need?
It follows consumption and its hourly shape, not floor area. A home using 5,000 kWh/year usually lands at 3–4 kWp; add air conditioning, a pool and an EV and it moves to 6–10 kWp. We model your load curve hour by hour before proposing anything.
Is a Tesla Powerwall worth adding?
In Málaga generation is high while consumption concentrates in the late afternoon and evening. Storage moves cheap surplus into those hours and adds backup during outages. We run the case against your tariff — and say so if it does not pay back.
Do you handle permits and grants?
Yes: technical design, certification, registration with the Junta de Andalucía and the distribution operator, the surplus compensation agreement, and the paperwork for incentive programmes and municipal IBI/ICIO rebates where the town hall offers them.
How long does an installation take?
A residential install is typically one to three days on site. From signature to legalised commissioning, expect four to eight weeks, driven by administrative and grid-operator timelines rather than the works.
Do you work outside the city?
Yes — across the whole province and the Costa del Sol: Marbella, Estepona, Fuengirola, Benalmádena, Mijas, Vélez-Málaga, Nerja, Antequera, Ronda and Sotogrande, plus industrial projects across Andalusia.
